Onion rings have always been a fan favorite, but this new social media viral crispy onion ring chips craze has put a delicious, low carb twist on everyone's favorite appetizer.

  • Yellow onion1
  • Colby jack cheese4 oz, shredded
  • Mozzarella cheese4 oz, shredded
  • Parmesan cheese1/4 cup, shredded
  • Paprika1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder1 teaspoon
  • Salt1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper1 teaspoon
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Slice the onion into thin slices, leaving the layers of the onion together.
  3. Shred the cheeses.
  4. Spread the shredded cheese in a single layer on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
  5. Place the onion slices on top of the cheese evenly spaced.
  6. Add seasonings on top of the onions.
  7. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is brown and crispy.
  8. Break apart the onion chips and serve with dipping sauce.
