- Heavy cream2 cups (480 ml)
- Whole milk1 cup (240 ml)
- Granulated sugar1/2 cup (100 g)
- Vanilla extract2 teaspoons
- Unflavored gelatin powder2 1/4 teaspoons (1 packet)
- Cold water3 tablespoons
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until completely dissolved.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving glasses or ramekins.
- Let cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- To serve, you can top with fresh berries, a drizzle of honey, or a fruit coulis.
